Jeanne S. Hanks, MSW

Jeane Hanks Jeanne S. Hanks, MSW is an expert in
planning, policy and budget development, grants review and training. Jeanne conducts organizational assessments, advises on the development of plans and provides coaching. She is Maria Gitin & Associates Southwest specialist, however she works with the team in California and other areas as needed. Ms. Hanks has twenty-five years experience in top management of nonprofit organizations including a community health center, YWCA and ecumenical agencies.

Jeanne is currently completing her Doctor of Public Health degree at the University of Texas School of Public Health in Houston. Her studies are in community practice, policy, health care economics, and program design and evaluation.

Ms. Hanks has a well-deserved reputation as a practical, hands-on, 'get it done' consultant and trainer. She has focus, energy and enthusiasm along with current expertise in community based organizations and best practices in health care. Ms. Hanks has been a leader in the Healthcare and Justice seminars at Ghost Ranch, New Mexico for more than a decade. She is a member of the Committee for the Protection of Human Subjects, the group that is responsible for the ethical treatment of people involved in medical research at the University of Texas Health Science Center-Houston.

Along with the rest of the Maria Gitin & Associates team, Jeanne practices yoga, has a great sense of humor and a passionate commitment to equality and social justice.
